Exceptional vintage pair of Palladio Florentine wall plaques, crafted in Italy and featuring striking three-dimensional brass Pegasus figures mounted on richly marbled scagliola panels with elaborate hand-applied gilt scrollwork.
These plaques embody classic Florentine decorative artistry, where ornate baroque-style ornament frames mythological imagery. At the center of each panel is a beautifully sculpted Pegasus in solid brass relief, rendered with remarkable detail — from the feathered texture of the wings to the musculature and motion of the rearing horse. The Pegasus figures are deeply dimensional and catch light beautifully, giving the plaques a sculptural presence rather than appearing flat.
The Pegasus motif — long associated with inspiration, imagination, and classical mythology — is framed by intricate Florentine gilt scrollwork set against the dramatic dark green scagliola background. The marbled patterning of the scagliola adds depth and movement that enhances the gold detailing.

Condition
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear consistent with decorative pieces of this era.
